The Elias String Quartet have just completed their Beethoven Project, performing all his string quartets, and recording them all for the Wigmore Hall Live label. In the last year the quartet have toured the USA and Canada, appeared in Paris, Amsterdam, Turkey, Belgium and Germany. They are therefore one of the leading ensembles of their generation.

The BBC Music Magazine described Onyx Brass as ‘easily the classiest brass ensemble in Britain’. They are regularly featured on BBC Radio 3, and have commissioned well over 100 new works. Even so, they aim to be ‘utterly accessible to audiences’. The quintet has released five CDs, ranging from Bach to Shostakovich.

The Moricosta String Trio met at the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and all are in high demand as chamber musicians, soloists and orchestral musicians. They gave their inaugural concert in January 2013, and want to bring the string trio repertoire to a larger audience.

Emma Abbate combines a career as a chamber musician and a professor at the Guildhall School of Music. As a pianist she has played at the Wigmore Hall, St John’s Smith Square and the Aldeburgh Festival. Hanna Hipp is a mezzo-soprano opera singer. In 2014-5 she appeared in Glyndeboume On Tour, Warsaw and Milan in operas by Mozart, Bizet and Puccini. In 2015 she appeares in Minnesota, Geneva and Lausanne.

The Aurora Ensemble is a five piece group of flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon. They have been playing together for nearly 20 years, and have played the Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Purcell Rooms and St David’s Hall Cardiff, amongst many other places. They were selected as part of the BBC Radio 3 Young Artists Forum, and as Making Music featured artists.
