The English String Quartet stepped in at short notice to replace the German Petersen Quartet, who cancelled their tour.
The well established Edinburgh Quartet will play Debussy’s string quartet and Beethoven’s Op. 135, and will be joined by the young Czech clarinettist Dusan Mihely on Weber’s clarinet quintet.

Peter Hurford will give a recital on the newly refurbished organ of Bakewell Parish Church. Peter Hurford is one of the most highly regarded organists in the world today, his numerous recordings having received great critical acclaim.
