Ian Bostridge is on the books of the Young Concert Artists Trust; he has been heard by members of the Committee. His partner Andrew West from the same stable is a soloist in his own right.
Programme includes Faure, Britten and Schubert.
This concert is an additional one, and has become possible as a result of the Society having been accepted by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust as promoters of their carefully picked young artists who have started on their promising careers. The fund meets the artists’ fees. Hannah Roberts, the cellist, was the Pierre Fournier Award Winner in 1992, and made her Wigmore Hall debut in May of this year. She appeared at the Royal Festival Hall at the age of sixteen, was BBC Radio 2 Young Musician of the Year, and won the Jacqueline du Pre memorial award.
