The Music Group of London (violin, cello and piano) will play works by Haydn, Shostakovich and Dvorak. This will be their 36th season together.
The Fairfield String Quartet will play quartets by Mozart and Shostakovich and the Clarinet Quintet (with Andrew Marriner) by Brahms.
Marisa Robles will perform a programme tracing the history of the harp and illustrating it with three different harps.
This concert will be held in the Stopford Hall at St. Elphin’s School, Darley Dale, by kind permission of the headmaster. Mr. Bishop will be playing the new Bosendorfer Grand Piano which the School possesses. The concert will also have the support of the Friends of St. Elphin’s in association with whom this concert has been arranged. The recitalist is a renowned international concert pianist and we expect this to be a very popular concert with all the available 400 seats taken.
